If you’re searching for Seattle micro wedding venues, an Airbnb can be such a good option. It can also inspire a day that feels a little more personal and completely your own. Emily and Garrett’s Seattle Airbnb wedding turned La Stella’s lush backyard garden into an intimate, storybook setting. It was filled with colorful florals, fantasy-inspired details, and the people they loved most.
Their entire celebration happened in just three hours, but nothing about it felt rushed. Emily got ready inside the home before they exchanged vows in the garden. They walked beneath a sword arch and laughed their way through portraits under the wisteria. Their Seattle micro wedding proved that a smaller celebration can still hold so much personality, intention, and so many good moments.

Emily and Garrett got ready separately. Emily at the Airbnb, and Garrett at a separate location, both surrounded by just a handful of their closest people. I loved how naturally the house became part of the morning. Friends moved in and out of the rooms, sunlight came through the windows, and Emily got to have that sweet dress reveal with her closest friends before everyone headed outside for the ceremony.
Emily wore an ivory satin Antonio Gual gown with a sweetheart neckline, long veil, and opera gloves. The whole look had this romantic, almost storybook feeling. Her colorful bouquet brought in even more whimsy. So did her friends’ jewel-toned dresses in cobalt blue, plum, berry, and coral. Garrett wore a classic all-black suit, which added a timeless feel to the day. It also fit perfectly once the fantasy-inspired details of their Seattle Airbnb wedding started making an appearance.

Their ceremony took place right in the Airbnb’s backyard, surrounded by mature trees, climbing greenery, and all of that lush Pacific Northwest landscaping that somehow made it feel completely tucked away from the city. It was such a good reminder of what can make a Seattle Airbnb wedding feel so personal. You’re not working around a huge venue or a packed timeline. You can gather your favorite people in the garden and make the ceremony your own.
Emily and Garrett leaned all the way into it, weaving a little fantasy and whimsy throughout their vows. They even swore fealty to one another. After their kiss, guests raised swords overhead to create an arch for them to walk beneath as newlyweds. It was easily one of my favorite details from their Seattle micro wedding. Everyone stayed out on the lawn afterward, laughing, hugging, and celebrating together before we moved into portraits.

After the ceremony, we stayed right in the backyard for portraits. It’s another reason I love a Seattle Airbnb wedding for something this intimate. The garden gave us so much to work with, from blooming wisteria to overgrown greenery and little tucked-away corners. It all felt straight out of a storybook.
I kept things moving and playful instead of overly posed, letting Emily and Garrett laugh, pull each other in close, and just be together. Garrett carried Emily through the garden more than once, we played with the movement of her veil and dress, and some of my favorite photos from their Seattle micro wedding came from just giving them space to be a little weird and romantic together.

We ended the day back inside the Airbnb for a few cozy portraits before Emily and Garrett cut their cake and signed their marriage license. I loved the warm cream walls, hardwood floors, and homey little details of the Airbnb. It made everything feel even more personal. Even their cakes were made by friends and family, decorated in soft pink and sage with vintage piping and fresh flowers that were perfect with the whimsical garden setting.
That’s one of my favorite things about a Seattle Airbnb wedding like this. One beautiful home can become your getting-ready space, ceremony spot, portrait location, and reception all in one. You can gather your closest people outside for the ceremony, then bring everyone indoors for cake and dinner or keep celebrating in the garden. Their Seattle micro wedding was only a few hours long, but it still felt full, personal, and completely theirs

If you’re dreaming about a Seattle micro wedding, an Airbnb can be such a great way to create something intimate without making the day feel any less special. Just make sure the property allows weddings or small events before you book. With the right space, a Seattle Airbnb wedding can give you room to get ready slowly, exchange vows with your favorite people, sit down for an incredible dinner, bring in thoughtful florals and details, and actually spend time together.
Emily and Garrett chose shorter photography coverage for their day, but a micro wedding can just as easily include a cocktail hour, a full reception, more time for portraits, or an entire evening documented from beginning to end. Small guest count does not have to mean a small experience.
